Following the news that The Kooks will release their eagerly awaited new album 'Konk' on 14 April, the band has announced a 10 date tour of the UK and will head to Plymouth Pavilions on Saturday 3 May 2008.

Brighton formed band The Kooks shot to fame in February 2006 with their debut albumn 'Inside In/Inside Out'.  The album went on to spend the majority of 2006 in the UK Top 20, has sold more than a million copies and attained triple platinum status.

The album was also responsible for producing hits including: "You Don't Love Me' (No. 12 Jan '06), 'Naive' (No. 5 April '06) and 'She Moves in Her Own Way' (No. 7 July '06).

2006 saw The Kooks on their first US tour in October, selling out shows both in New York and Los Angeles, a nomination for Best New Act at the 2006 Q Awards, the award for Best UK and Ireland Act at the 2006 MTV Music Awards, the award for Best UK and Ireland Act at the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards and had a nomination at The BRIT Awards.
