Feeling sporty... then Plymouth Summer Festival has a wealth of activities on offer.

If it's a challenge you're after then the Plymouth Half Marathon (May 24) is always one of the most popular and watched events in the city's sporting calendar.

Or take it that little bit easier and raise money for a good cause in the process by taking part or supporting the Race for Life (June 21).

If watching is more your game, then the Plymouth Big Screen will play host to live coverage from the summer's biggest sporting events, including Wimbledon, the British Grand Prix and the British Open Golf.

The British Mountain Bike Series comes to Newnham Park on September 26 and the venue also plays host to one of the Plymouth Summer Festival's leisure highlights when hundreds of Volkswagon enthusiasts gather between May 22-25 for the VolksFest Motoring and Music Festival.
